ILFB Committee Selects
Sydney Miller
Sydney is a second-year vet student at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign College of Veterinary Medicine. The IVET Committee unanimously agreed to offer Sydney Miller the IVET low-interest loan. She worked at Durbin Vet Clinic in Fayette County for over 2 ½ years. She grew up across the road from the Durbin Vet Clinic in the small rural town of St. Peter, IL. Upon graduation from vet school, Sydney plans to return to her rural community with a goal to become part owner of the clinic. She hopes to have several different roles in her community once she begins practicing. One goal is to facilitate happiness through providing care and healing to both the patient and client. “Pet owners find happiness in their pets, so providing treatment and care to the patient contributes to the owner’s happiness!” Another goal for Sydney is “to be available throughout the day for the farmers” to care for their livestock.
